Hello Walker Families,
April is designated the Month of the Military Child by the Department of Defense. It is a time to recognize the
challenges Military Children in the US must face as their fathers, mothers, siblings and other relatives leave on
deployment to defend our Country and keep it free. These repeated and extended separations and the hazard of
deployment are only a few of the many stressors in Service Children’s lives.
Walker Elementary has always participated in showing our gratitude to our Military Children and their Families. This tradition will continue this year.
